The Big Lottery Fund have provided £50,000 toward the purchase of the old Co-op building.

The funding is being made available through the South Pennines LEADER programme (Rural
Development Programme for England), which is jointly funded by Defra and the European Union,
and is managed by Yorkshire Forward in the Yorkshire and Humber region. £52,000 has been made available.
