STREET PARTY !!

Diamond Jubilee Street Party
Tuesday 5th June 2012 2-4pm
Midgley village will be celebrating this momentous occasion with a good old fashioned street party. There will be a 50’s style band, children’s entertainer, games and the bar will be open. Because of the potential size of the party we are asking for everyone to contribute by bringing some food. This can be sandwiches, salads, dips, crisps, buns and cakes etc.
Come in red, white or blue or all of them!
We have been lucky enough to get the road through Midgley closed from
1pm until 5pm, so please make a note of this if you are planning to
drive through Midgley on that day.
Open Gardens
16th and 17th June
Over 15 gardens will be open. Gardens are open from 11am to 4pm both days. Tickets cost £5.00 per adult and gain
admittance for both days; children are admitted free. Tickets can be bought in advance from Midgley
Shop, or from gardens on the weekend.
VILLAGE COACH TRIP TO WHITBY SATURDAY JULY 7TH
Adults £14 Children £7—cheap at the price given today’s fuel prices.
Tickets will go on sale to Midgley residents from May onwards. Any seats unsold from June onwards will also become available to other community groups.
